Ogier hires Polex Lam as Manager in ESG & Impact Services

Ogier Global’s ESG and Impact Services offers ESG and Impact design, integration, and implementation solutions to clients. Working across the spectrum of asset classes, the service facilitates clients to manage environmental and social factors and to integrate such considerations into their business or investment decisions for the lasting benefit of clients and society.

Polex has extensive experience in climate change, sustainability and ESG services for financial institutions and corporates. As a subject matter expert, Polex assists clients to embed ESG and Impact into their organisations through strategy development, policy development, ESG risk analysis, metrics identification and reporting in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practice standards.

Polex Lam, who joined Ogier at the beginning of March, has more than 13 years’ experience in the sustainability and ESG industry working with clients across Asia. Before joining Ogier, Polex was a manager at multinational professional services firm, where he was responsible for ESG related services, as well as SDG and SBT.

Polex has significant experience in conducting gap analysis and assisting clients to participate in indices assessments including the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Sustainability Indexes and Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index (HSSUS), Fitch Ratings ESG relevance scoring and responding to investors. In addition, he has developed rating models and ESG data systems and has experience in financial modelling and sensitivity analysis.

Polex is also a certified ESG analyst of The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies and Chartered Energy Manager by the Energy Institute. He holds certificates from the Global Reporting Initiative and is a Carbon Auditor at the Energy Institute. He is a Certified Member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). He holds a Masters of Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) Degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering from City University of Hong Kong.
